Seems to me all of you are detecting the wrong kind of farm houses. I detect fields where old farm houses once stood. Not still standing. The newer they are the more trash you will find. I have plat maps from 1865, 1874, 1882. The best sites are the ones on the 1865 and 1874 then gone in 1882. Might try this way and i bet you have different .
