I did do the stereo reset, and I did find DTCs in the stereo, there were 5 of them: B1318; b1342; b2406; u1900; u0073 I am in desperate need of a company or even just a person who is familiar with repairing the smart junction box from a 2005 Mustang GT Premium. If anybody knows of a service like this I would greatly appreciate the contact info.

So I got the part number from the current box and found several on ebay. HOWEVER, when (just for kicks) I called the local Ford dealer to see if they had it new (they do for 0) - they looked up the part number based on my VIN .
